I think of all the places in the world, few have as rich a heritage of ghost lore as the British isles. Unfortunately, as in many other areas, Wales tends to be ignored. This book is excellent in that it talks in depth about Welsh ghost stories, and local customs and superstitions. The author has taken various sources that go back from recently to hundreds of years, and compiled them into a book where no corner of Wales is left ignored, and the rich tapestry of Welsh ghost stories is presented. One thing I really got out of this book is how much more esoteric and magical the ghost stories are in Wales. My one minor complaint is that sometimes the narration is a bit dry at times, but that is really okay to avoid embellishment. The author has done a great job, and this is a great book to learn more about Welsh ghosts!
This book is very well researched, in the historical sense. Some of the occurrences are intriguing. Welsh is a very hard language to master, and the names of some of the places gave me fits in pronunciation.
