Froma P. Roth, Ph.D., is a professor in the department of hearing and speech sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park. She received her bachelor's degree from Hunter College, her master's degree from Queens College, and her doctoral degree from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Dr. Roth's current research interests focus on the relationship between oral language development and early reading and writing acquisition, phonological awareness intervention for preschool children with primary speech and language deficits, and language and literacy development in children with cochlear implants.

No need to buy new! I thought I was helping myself out by ensuring I had the access code for the online content. In other classes, exams have come directly from the online preparatory quizzes and there was a great deal of useful tools included. With this online content, you will simply be spending $100 for .doc versions of the appendices. If this is worth the $100 to you, then I recommend that you buy the book new. Otherwise, I think you will be happy with a used copy.
This book was over priced when I brought it.
Paid over $100 for this new edition with access code which turned out to be a joke since I've basically paid for Microsoft document version of the appendixes. If you have access to a scanner, don't do this to yourself. Save $100.
Needed this for school. Easy to access via kindle, no complaints
As other people have said, you really don't need the access codes, as all the information is found in the book. That being said, the book itself is well written and incredibly useful. I am sure I will be referring to this book again, as I work my way through Grad school.
