I am a huge fan of the "Castle" tv show. I love Nathan Fillion. So I was excited when they decided to create the books.Derrick Storm is a private eye. He is not too smart but pretty lucky. He is a bit of a wise ass, just like Richard Castle was.I never was a big fan of comic books, that is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.The plot is good, the dialog is cheesy (which is usually the case in comics), and the characters are great.It is only about an hour to get through, so I recommend it to everyone who just wants a quick fun read.
This is my 4th Castle book and they never disappoint. They are thin enough that I can read it in an evening - works really great as a "superhero" palette cleanser.
I had been hesitant to buy the graphic novel, only because I buy and read the Castle novels and view every show and did not see how a Derrick Storm would fit. I consider Bendis a genius anyway and collect the Marvel Comics he authors. Because of him, I bought and will continue to buy IF the fantastic and very adult artwork continues. Maybe women draw the lovely female form best!

This book was advertised as a paper back book. It was in fact a graphic novel. I did not want it but found out it would cost more to return then I paid for the book. So I donated it to Goodwill.
Did not expect a comic book.
Like the hard cover copy. Appreciated the book being wrapped in plastic. I usually don't respond to reviews, but I really wanted to let others know that this purchase turned out to be a really good deal. Thanks.
